“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness and all these
things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33
What a wonderful word… just to know that the God of creation has already made provisions for his children. God has done so, not only for the life to come, but also on Earth in our mortal bodies.
But it seems that you have to search far and wide to find teachers and preachers who really proclaim this truth; that yes, God does provide in a way that does not require concern, worry, nor focused attention from those who are His “sons.”
The provisions of God are readily available and are dispensed by Him to those who meet the requirements of , which says:
” …seek ye first the kingdom of God…”
In other words, get to the bottom of the workings of God’s kingdom and ultimately, worship the King.
“…and his righteousness…”
Our worship is expressed also in our “reasonable acts” for God. Our lives are lived out in completesubjection to our King. Each of our bodies are presented as “a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God.”
This fulfillment of “seek ye first the kingdom of God” automatically triggers this: “and all these things shall be added unto you.”
When you lift an object and releases it, the object falls.
There are many people who busy themselves trying to obtain the “added” portion of the verse without the seeking of God’s Kingdom. What they really seek is not the kingdom of God nor for its benefit, but their own.
Wolf in sheep’s clothing
False preachers echo the words, “come and sow a seed in God’s kingdom,” and it has nothing to to with God, but with themselves. They try to lure God’s people away with various gimmicks which are designed to separate your money from you. Yes, God speaks about “sowing,” but it is the sowing of the Word of God so that the good soil will yield souls for the kingdom. And God does speak about “giving,” but he qualifies that also:
“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” –Mal. 3:10
The tithe is “brought” to the place of worship where you attend and have fellowship (Your local church congregation). And you give to the poor and needy who are all around you. Give willingly and bountifully into God’s kingdom, not the kingdom of any man.
Don’t try to reason your way out of tithing and giving to God’s work. Believers in Christ Jesus must cease helping to build the empires of false prophets and so-called ministers, who have no interest in putting God’s kingdom FIRST.
Don’t worry. Just seek.
Don’t run after money. Just seek Him.
Seek the kingdom of God and all these things that God knows you have need of, will be added unto you. Let us then get busy for the King and win the lost for Christ. Let us endeavor to live our lives pleasing to Him. The provisions will come, automatically.
